This adventure deep into vast land area south of the Utah/Arizona border known as the "Arizona Strip" has as its final destination one of the most beautiful places you will ever see. This largely primitive campground on the north rim of the Grand Canyon is a spiritual, magical place where one can be easily lost in grandeur. Hike its sixty mile trail or just sit all day and try to fathom its beauty. Camping is free, but you must earn it. Most of this trip is easy to handle, great for beginners. The exception - the ten mile round trip in and out of the park itself. Be aware. For this, high clearance, tough tires and 4-wheel drive a must. This trip is $6.95.
